MySQLの設定ファイル（my.cnf）は短縮ダイヤル？: 一週間で覚えるPHP

MySQLの設定ファイル（my.cnf）は短縮ダイヤル？

←こんなん出ました。「短縮ダイヤル」ってなんやねん。なんで、MySQLのフォルダにこんなんあんねん。電話関係の追加モジュールかいな、なんて思ってたらぜんぜんちごた。もしかして、MySQLユーザなら常識なのだろうか...。あやうく見つけれんとこやった。

my.cnf

やっと見つけた。MySQLの文字化けを根本から解消すべく、MySQLの設定ファイルにメスを入れたかったのに、Windowsの検索を使うまでわからなかった。だってプロパティとかみても「my」としか出ないんだもん→。ちなみにez-HTML等のエディタに入れても見えたらしい。

my.cnfの修正箇所は以下の通り。
　凡例）追記・削除

[mysqld]
#default-character-set=utf8
#character-set-server = latin1
character-set-server = utf8
#collation-server = latin1_general_ci
collation-server = utf8_bin
init-connect=SET NAMES utf8
[mysqldump]
default-character-set = utf8
[mysql]
default-character-set = utf8

S-JISで保存せんとあかんらしい。UTF-8で保存したら、MySQLが立ち上がらなくなった...。

追記：Windowsでは有名らしい

初めまして。バッチ系プログラマから成り行きでweb系しかもＤＢ設計主担当となり、毎日心の中で「ヤバイ！！」と叫んでおります。
　iniファイルの存在は知っていましたが、見たことありませんでした。ＭｙＳＱＬの環境設定が変えられず、２週間経とうとしていたところ、偶然このページを発見しました。
　常識は、知っている人達の間で言うこと。よくぞ記述してくださいました。
　ついでに言うと、ＰＨＰの文字化けは３週間解決できません…。
　お互いがんばりましょう！！
